Organic Farm

When we purchased our land in 1990, it had lain fallow for many decades. What vegetation was present was mainly invasive species. Using Permaculture principles, the soil, which began as mostly clay and alkaline, was developed and strengthened. Artificial fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, etc. have not been used. By planting clover and buckwheat and using compost we have built our soil and protected the health of our visitors and our wildlife. Molly teaches Peter to drive the tractor. Molly insists on only using biodiesel for fuel in the tractor - try some just a slight smell and only a little white smoke! We also use other forms of renewable energy.
